Abatement is the act of using a raptor (bird of prey), to pursue (and in some cases take) depredating birds to mitigate damage.

Avian Abatement Services, AAS, uses trained raptors protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA) to abate depredation problems caused by pest birds including pigeons, starlings, & sparrows.  This method is all natural and does not require the use of any poisons or chemicals.
